Woman Recounts Horrific Story Of Homeless Man Dumping Feces On Her — These Attacks Are On The Rise

Heidi Van Tassel Homeless Man Drops Feces

In some parts of the country, the problem with homelessness is growing more and more alarming, with various recent reports painting the situation in more dramatic light.

Just recently, a California woman, Heidi Van Tassel, described a horrific incident in which a homeless person, Jere Blessings, attacked her.

The man dragged her out of her car and proceeded to dump an entire bucket of feces on her head, according to reports.

Van Tassel shared: “It was diarrhea. Hot liquid. I was soaked, and it was coming off my eyelashes and into my eyes. Paramedics who came to treat me said there was so much of it on me, that it looked like the man was saving it up for a month. It was all inside my car because it was so much. He just kept pouring it and splattering it all over me.”

And while many commenters online have been shocked by the story, it seems to be within the norm for the local community.

Locals have stepped forward to explain how incidents of this type have been going on for quite a while, and have pointed out that while media attention on the situation is a good thing, people should not assume that this has just started happening yesterday.

Even though the perpetrator has been arrested and charged with the crime, locals are still not happy.

Many believe that authorities are doing too little to remedy the situation and have called for harsher measures against those abusing fellow citizens in such brutal ways.

The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was tested for infections and diseases, but thankfully nothing bad has come out of the story for her in the end. She will have to get retested in three months.

However, she has expressed a lot of disgust and outrage over the situation, echoing the voices of those who have been calling for more justice.

Blessings was charged with battery, went to jail, and spent two months in a mental health facility. Records show the man has schizophrenia and psychotic disorders.

Van Tassel had a surprising reaction regarding his state of mind: “He doesn’t need jail time. He needs mental health care. I have empathy for him. Because he needs help.”

She also said that she needs help: “It was awful. And it changed my life. I will never, ever, forget his face. What’s the next thing he’s going to do, somebody? If he would’ve had a knife, for sure, he would’ve stabbed me.”

The shocking case still has people talking.
