Vanessa Bryant has been showing off her eldest daughter’s achievements on her Instagram Stories this week after Natalia Bryant was accepted into more than one university.
This week, Vanessa Bryant posted a photo of Loyola Marymount University, announcing that her 18-year-old daughter, Natalia, had accepted a place there and was “so happy.”
The 38-year-old mother has been raising her children alone since her husband, Kobe Bryant, was tragically killed in a helicopter crash last January, along with their 13-year-old daughter, Gigi Bryant.
And she praised her eldest daughter on her 18th birthday in January for “stepping in to help” with her younger siblings — 4-year-old Bianka and 1-year-old Capri.
Loyola Marymount University is located in Playa Vista, Los Angeles — and although it will be in the same state as the family home — Vanessa Bryant still remarked that it was “too far,” before adding “jk,” (meaning “just kidding” or “joking”), to reassure her daughter she was playful.
In February, Vanessa shared a photo of a letter from the University of Oregon, offering Natalia a place. The letter said Natalia would make “invaluable” contributions to the university.
Natalia Bryant has recently signed with IMG Models, which she announced on her own Instagram Story last month, telling fans she was “thrilled” about the news and had “always been interested” in fashion and wanted to be a model.
She said she had a “lot to learn” but was grateful for the “opportunity” to learn and express herself in a creative way.
Vanessa, who is proud of her daughter’s exciting career path, shared a few stunning photos of Natalia Bryant and used the caption to praise her.
Vanessa also used the opportunity to tell Natalia that her father would be very proud of her.
She wrote: “My baby (with makeup) ?❤️. Daddy would be so happy that you’re pursuing your modeling career now that you’re 18. You’re beautiful inside and out. We love you.”
She captioned another breathtaking photo: “I love you. You better! You stole my face with daddy’s lips.”
This week, after winning a lawsuit, Vanessa shared a series of Instagram posts with the names of the four Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies who took horrific photos of the scene of the helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant, their daughter, Gianna, and seven other people.
She shared the names of deputies Joey Cruz, Rafael Mejia, Michael Russell, and Raul Versales in the Instagram message.
It has been more than a year since Natalia’s father, Kobe Bryant, was killed in a helicopter crash on January 26, 2020.
In January, her mother, Vanessa, said Natalia had shown “so much strength and grace” through the “most difficult year” of their lives.
