Mauro Icardi, the Argentinian striker for French club PSG, seems happy to be back with his wife, Wanda Nara.
The 34-year-old Argentinian model is also Icardi’s agent. The couple faced some tumult in recent weeks.
The soccer star was accused of cheating on his spouse of seven years with China Suarez, also known as Maria Eugenia Suarez, a 29-year-old Argentinian actress.
Suarez came out of her silence with this message, blaming Icardi for the drama: “What is happening today has a much bigger and deeper story behind it, with which many women will surely feel identified. I have had to relate to men who I have always believed their words: that they were separated or separated and that there were no conflicts. Nara wrote in a note that seemed directed at Suarez: “I’ll look after my family. Life itself will take care of the little b*tches.”
Wednesday, the 28-year-old player took to Instagram to profess his love for his wife. Icardi shared: “Thank you, my love, for continuing to trust this beautiful family, thank you for being the engine of our lives. ❤️ I love you ❤️. How much it hurts to hurt your loved ones. You only heal when you have forgiveness.”
The sweet note was the caption to lovely photos of the power couple sharing a tender moment. Icardi posted two other updates in the past 24 hours to prove that he is determined to win her heart again. The soccer talent tagged his wife each time.
Nara has also posted on Instagram, but she did not mention her husband. She uploaded images of herself alone in Paris. However, she was the first one to put the cheating allegations on social media.
She had posted this message: “Another family you have ruined for a sl**.” Icardi’s wife had also shared a picture without her wedding ring, saying that she likes to have her hand free.
At that point, many thought the controversial marriage was over. During a press conference, PSG’s manager, Mauricio Pochettino, was even asked about the situation.
Icardi’s cheating scandal was starting to affect his career, and he missed a crucial Champions League match against RB Leipzig on Tuesday.
His team that lacks real attacking star power on its bench struggled to win against the German side 3-2. Many observers say Icardi’s presence could have been helpful.
There is also a big match scheduled for Sunday against PSG’s arch-rival, Olympique Marseille, and it is not certain that the player will be back in action. He missed a couple of days of training with his teammates because of the cheating rumors.
Icardi and Nara started their relationship in 2013. The stunning model was married to another soccer player Maxi Lopez at the time. Lopez and Icardi were teamates at Sampdoria.
While the high-profile relationship has been good for their brands, it has turned off some over the years. In 2018, Real Madrid wanted to sign Icardi from Inter Milan but opted against it because of the romance.
