Tristan Thompson vowed to take full responsibility for his son, according to the statement.
He wrote: “Today, the paternity test results revealed that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established; I looked forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately.”
According to a lawyer, Thompson’s responsibility means that he will be paying around $40,000 a month in child support until his second son turns 18 years old.
The law expert told Hollywood Life that the NBA star would be forking over that large sum for the following reason: “One argument for a larger award would be to ensure that the child has the same or similar lifestyle in both homes.”
It is believed that Thompson is paying his first baby mama, Jordan Craig, even more in child support for their son, Prince.
Seeing that Khloé Kardashian is a multi-millionaire in her own right, it is not known how much money she is getting for her daughter, True Thompson.
