It is believed that Queen Elizabeth II has reached out to Prince Harry, his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children to spend a little vacation with her in Balmoral Castle, Scotland.
Her Majesty will be at her estate for teen weeks; therefore, the family has plenty of time to drop by and visit the Monarch.
However, reports have been circulating claiming Prince Harry and Markle might decline the olive branch and stay in the US instead.
The duo has a busy summer schedule with Prince Harry’s book out soon and Markle’s podcast.
A source claimed that Markle is torn over the invitation because she was moved by the Queen‘s gesture to make her feel that she is still part of the family.
Moreover, she also wants Prince Harry to spend time with his grandmother. However, Markle also has a fear when it comes to the trip to Balmoral in the Highlands.
A source claimed that the former American actress worries that her husband will be pulled back into royal life and want to move back to England.
The insider, who spoke to Closer, said that Prince Harry has become homesick and is now reminiscing about his English home and ways.
There is a possibility that because Prince Harry has been doing a deep dive into his childhood and adult life in England — he is starting to miss his native country.
An insider from Balmoral told Closer magazine that the invite is “bittersweet” for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for the following reason: “On one hand, it fuels her and Harry’s confidence that they are still very much part of the family. But after so much time away, she fears Harry will be lured back into the fold ad want to return to the UK.”
The source went on to say Meghan Markle is worried sick to her stomach that Prince Harry will become emotional during the visit and feel the urge to return home.
The person stated: “Meghan is worried over how these types of visits can pull at his heartstrings after so much time away, and she fears Harry will be lured into the fold and want to return to the UK.”
Prince Harry reportedly wants to make an effort for his grandmother because he knows at 96, they are on borrowed time.
The insider claimed: “Harry wants to spend as much time with his grandmother while he still can. So this offer is a big deal to him, and it’s one he’s going to take up with open arms.”
On Monday, it was revealed that Queen Elizabeth, because of another health scare, had been forced to cancel the traditional welcome to Balmoral Castle.
Her Majesty is 96 and has been battling mobility issues after being diagnosed with COVID-19. She was supposed to meet with locals and royal supporters from all over the UK who gather near the castle to launch the annual holiday.
The Queen’s traditional welcome to Balmoral Castle has been axed, prompting fresh fears for the 96-year-old’s health. Her Majesty was scheduled to attend the ceremony in Scotland today, but it was axed and replaced with a “small, private event.”
A royal source told The Mirror: “The traditional welcome to Balmoral is normally cemented in the Queen’s calendar and something Her Majesty really enjoys, being able to greet locals who travel to see her. It’s a bitter disappointment the ceremony will not take place in its traditional form.”
The event was postponed during the pandemic. However, this is the first time in decades that Her Majesty has been forced to miss out on the ceremony.
Queen Elizabeth’s health problems and advanced age have now put Prince Harry and Markle in a tough spot.
