Prince William will be heading to the US in the winter with his wife, Kate Middleton, but he is not interested in having Prince Harry or Meghan Markle drop by because he fears that they will be distractions.
The second Earthshot Prize ceremony is set to take place around the holiday season in Boston, Massachusetts.
The future King and Queen of England are expected to hand out $1 million to five people who are working hard towards solutions to end climate change.
Prince Harry, his wife Meghan Markle, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet Diana, live in California. However, do not expect the Cambridge family and the Sussexes to meet.
The two clans did not interact during Queen Elizabeth II‘s Platinum Jubilee and they plan on continuing to give each other the cold shoulder.
Royal Editor Chris Ship explained why the Duke of Cambridge has no plans to see the Duke of Sussex: “We now know they are going to be in Boston because there’s the link between the Earthshot and the Moonshot in Boston. There was some talk on Twitter about this. While they’re in America, why don’t they pop in and see Harry? And I think someone said that’s like the equivalent of saying, ‘I’m doing a tour of Portugal, and I’m going to visit someone in Finland.’ The United States is a very big country, so it’s very unlikely William is going to pop over to California while he’s there.”
Moreover, do not expect the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to travel to Boston neither to attend the award ceremony.
Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield, the manager of the royal website ToDiForDaily, told Express that Prince William would not be interested in having his brother and sister-in-law at the event because he sees them as distractions from the important work and efforts they have put into the charity.
The royal expert shared Prince William’s concerns about having Markle and Prince Harry at the ceremony by saying: “The likelihood of Harry and Meghan traveling to Boston to support the Cambridges and Earthshot is highly unlikely. And quite frankly, I don’t think that the Cambridges want them anywhere near it. The Cambridges are pushing forward, focused on the future and survival of the monarchy. The Sussexes seem to stew in the past. The Sussexes’ presence would be a distraction from the work that the Cambridges are trying to accomplish.”
The royal expert predicts that Prince Harry and Markle will use the occasion to surprise fans by unveiling a new project.
Schofield claimed: “Don’t be surprised if Harry and Meghan announce another project around the same time, though to divert attention.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will steal the spotlight from the heir to the throne with interviews and the revelations in the tell-all book.
Prince Harry will drop his memoir around Christmas time.
