There is a possibility that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck‘s wedding might not be the biggest wedding of the summer — it is believed that Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, are planning to renew their vows soon.
Since arriving in California in 2020, the power couple has been able to captivate and cause debates with their every move, word, and action.
If the latest reports are accurate, Prince Harry and Markle will once more dazzle the world while giving Netflix the footage of a lifetime.
A royal source spoke to Heat Magazine, explaining that after four years of marriage, the pair is ready to walk down the aisle again.
This time, it will be done on American soil — something Markle longed for. The goal is to have a ceremony that is elegant yet intimate.
When the pair had their lavish royal wedding in 2018, more than a billion people watched, costing taxpayers over $37 million.
Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and many other members of the royal family were in attendance.
However, this time around, Prince Harry and Markle have decided that the only family member they will have at the ceremony will be Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland.
It seems that Prince Harry and Markle have opted to snub Prince William and Kate Middleton as they did to them during Her Majesty‘s Jubilee.
The exiled royals want to have only close friends, along with their two children, Archie and Lilibet, at the ceremony.
The source explained: “They’re looking at various venues and figuring out the type of ceremony they want, as well as how many guests to invite.”
The insider went on to reveal the impressive guest list of people who might be at the wedding vow renewal: “Meghan’s mum Doria will be on the list, but she’ll be the only family member. Then there will be a handful of their close US friends – like Katherine and David [Foster], Janina [Gavankar], possibly Priyanka and Nick Jonas – but, obviously, it’ll all depend on their schedules. There’ll be roles for the kids, and they’ll write their own vows. The grand plan is to turn it into a big family vacation that will also serve as a second honeymoon.”
The source mentioned the Netflix docuseries and went on to explain that Prince Harry and Markle had a tough couple of years, and the ceremony would be a wonderful way to renew their love and faith in each other.
The source said: “Things are going to be beyond hectic with the docuseries and other priorities. They’ll make the time, though, and they’re both super-excited to do this. They’re more in love now than ever and proud of everything they’ve got through together these past four years. Saying their vows again is a beautiful way to underline that.”
Time will tell if the ceremony will take place.
