Prince William Hints At Peace With Prince Harry And Meghan Markle By Making Huge Change To His US Trip

Prince William Harry Meghan Markle Peace UN Speech

Last week, it was reported that Prince William had taken the decision to travel to New York in early September without his wife, Kate Middleton.

The heir to the throne will be in the Big Apple to prepare and create buzz for the highly-anticipated year-end event in Boston.

The 2022 Earthshot Prize awards ceremony will be held in December in Massachusetts. Ahead of the award ceremony, Prince William will visit New York on September 21st to participate in what is dubbed the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit.

Michael R. Bloomberg will join the Duke of Cambridge at the summit, where they will meet and host this year’s finalists and past winners of the Earthshot Prize.

In a press release announcing the event, it was revealed that Prince William would give a speech that would focus on the critical matter on the agenda — climate change.

Prince William will also spotlight the innovators and environmentalists who are doing their part to find solutions. There seems to be a change in the agenda for Prince William.

When the visit to the United States was announced, The Daily Mail reported that Prince William was following in his younger brother’s footsteps and had plans to deliver a speech in front of the United Nations General Assembly.

The British media outlet reported earlier this month: “It is thought William could also address the United Nations General Assembly, where world leaders convene to discuss the biggest issues of the day. A source said: ‘William is planning to go over to the U.S. for some big meetings with Bloomberg’s team who are getting it all ready. It’s going to put his Earthshot Prize on a global footing and get some real interest going in the States ahead of the next awards.”

Prince William’s decision caused an uproar because he appeared to be copying Prince Harry.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, by his side, traveled to New York in late July and gave a powerful speech at the UN in honor of Mandela Day, asking nations to come together and combat climate change.

Some see Prince William’s change of plan as a sign that he does not want to ruffle any feathers.

Other royal experts claimed that he removed the UN speech to avoid comparison and competition.

In the upcoming weeks, the two brothers will have multiple occasions to show the world if they still have a relationship after “Megxit,” the revelations, and sneak attacks.

Next month, Markle and Prince Harry will be in England. Will they meet with Middleton and Prince William?
