Backers of Prince Harry and his brother, Prince William, have watched with much sadness as the divide between them grows wider with each revelation, media leak, and public snub.
It is believed that the brothers, who once shared a tight bond, started drifting apart when Prince Harry decided to marry Meghan Markle.
The rift and the split continued with Prince Harry and Markle’s decision to step down from the royal duties and move to California.
Two years and a half have gone by since “Megxit,” and the lack of interaction during Queen Elizabeth II‘s Platinum Jubilee confirmed that the feud between the Cambridges and Sussexes has no end in sight.
A new documentary has revealed that Prince William and the rest of the royal family, including Her Majesty and Prince Charles, will have to do the heavy lifting because Meghan Markle has a winning argument against the Monarchy — slavery, and colonialism.
According to Express, in the latest episode of the documentary series The Real Windsors, which focuses on the future of the British Monarchy, royal experts warned Prince William that he would be on the losing end of the war with Prince Harry and Markle as he gets closer to the throne.
Prince William was told that time, the ever-changing woke society, and polls are all on Prince Harry and Markle’s side.
Royal commentator Bonnie Greer explained: “They have a woman who was married into the family, whose ancestors had descended from enslaved Africans, okay. They hit the jackpot. Now she ain’t in the family no more, and she’s really pissed off about it.”
Experts on the program noted that opinions are shifting toward Markle because it has become normal to talk about the horrific past. In recent months, the UK’s past actions towards Africans and people of color have been scrutinized like never before.
After the catastrophic Caribbean tour, while Kate Middleton remained silent, the heirs to the throne, Prince Charles and Prince William, were forced to publicly address the humiliation and shame, but most importantly, the generational pain and struggles that black people face because of slavery.
The narrator noted: “Surveys suggest that many of the generations that royals most need to appeal to are the ones who are most sympathetic to Meghan’s side of the story.”
Katie Nicholl, an author and royal correspondent at Vanity Fair, added that the new generation sided with Markle, which means that the Monarchy has a huge problem.
She shared: “Gen Z doesn’t connect with the Monarchy. It’s absolutely crucial that the next generation of the Monarchy connect to Gen Z. If they don’t, the Monarchy becomes irrelevant.”
Prince William and his father might have to be more conciliatory towards Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
