Meghan Markle has changed the game for herself, her husband, Prince Harry, and possibly the British royal family with the launch and success of her new podcast.
This week, Markle and her longtime friend and tennis icon Serena Williams sat down for the first episode of the Spotify project.
The ladies did not hold back and spoke their minds. Markle decomposed and analyzed the negative conations linked to women being ambitious.
She also shared a personal and horrific story about being on a royal tour and losing her mind upon discovering that her baby’s nursery had a fire caused by a heater.
The podcast was a massive hit. Thus far, it is the most exciting and popular project that Prince Harry and Markle have contributed to since stepping down from their royal duties.
It has been confirmed that Archetypes is the #1 podcast on Spotify’s podcast charts after Markle dethroned the record-breaking The Joe Rogan Experience.
Entrepreneur businessman Steve Bartlett is also doing well. It has been reported: “Archetypes has also taken over the No. 1 spot on the Spotify charts in Canada, Australia, and of course, the United Kingdom, where the Duchess of Sussex maintains a loyal following even after stepping away from royal duties with her husband, Prince Harry. Markle’s podcast took the No. 1 UK spot from Diary of a CEO.”
While the numbers are not out yet, there is a possibility that Markle had over 11 million listeners in the past 24 hours.
The retired American actress has a total of 12 episodes with the streaming giant, and she is expected to continue with the hits and the revelations.
Markle, now dubbed the podcast Queen, might have gotten The Palace’s attention with her successful endeavor and might have given Prince William and Kate Middleton a few reasons to reconcile or at least be cordial in public.
Some royal experts agree that it would benefit Prince William to make an appearance on Markle’s podcast and shed light on what truly matters — his charities.
While Markle had promised a podcast that focuses on women, she already broke that rule by having Prince Harry make a cameo. Therefore, her listeners would not mind having her brother-in-law on the podcast to talk about something as important as climate change.
Prince William will be in New York next month to push The Earthshot Prize, and he could use Markle’s help in promoting his upcoming ceremony that will be held in Boston.
It has been claimed that many are panicking inside the Palace because they fear that Markle will drop truth bombs that will humiliate them.
Well, a reunion on the podcast between Prince Harry, Markle, and Prince William would most likely ease tension and reduce, or even eliminate, the humiliating revelations.
