Gisele Bündchen is moving on with her life after the divorce from Tom Brady. The rapid split was a big surprise, and the Brazilian supermodel’s next move is even more shocking.
The 42-year-old mother of two was spotted on a dinner date with a jiu-jitsu instructor named Joaquim Valente in Costa Rica on Saturday.
The photos of the rumored couple were taken in Provincia de Puntarenas. The businesswoman was accompanied by her children — 12-year-old Benjamin, and Vivian, 9.
The images broke the Internet on Monday. A Brazilian entertainment website reported last week that Bündchen and Valente are a couple.
Brady’s ex-wife has been in touch with Valente for a while after picking up jiu-jitsu earlier this year. She has even collaborated with his brothers Pedro Valente and Giu Valente.
In February, she called the siblings “awesome teachers” on Instagram. She said at the time: “I believe the more tools we have in our toolbox the better. I feel stronger, more confidence, and empowered since I started practicing self-defense. I feel it’s an important skill for all, but specially for us women.”
She continued: “Thank you @ValenteBrothers for … making training so much fun. I am looking forward to keep improving. Let’s go!”
The brothers are the owners of Valente Brothers Self Defense Gym in Miami. Brady had tweeted the following about his then-wife’s praises: “My days of leaving dishes in the sink are numbered.”

After the dating reports surfaced on Page Six, the 45-year-old NFL legend has rushed to delete the tweet.
People close to the fashion icon say that she is not dating Valente because there were other people on the trip. An insider told The Daily Mail: “He’s been her kids jiu-jitsu teacher for years. There’s no truth to the rumors that they’re dating.”
A Brady source said that this is not the truth. The person added: “It always seemed weird she just one day abruptly ended the marriage.”
The quarterback does not seem to agree with the denial; the tweet deletion is a direct way to voice his anger at the situation. The divorce was not supposed to get messy. However, the dating rumors could change the situation.
Brady wrote this statement on Twitter about the divorce: “In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage. We arrived at this decision amicably, and with gratitude, for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way.”
Observers say Brady’s camp is wondering if cheating was involved in the divorce.
