It was Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s significant loss this Christmas holiday because Camilla, Queen Consort, had already replaced them at the biggest royal shindig.
Markle and her husband went knee-deep in their attacks on the Royal Family with their bombshell Netflix series Harry & Meghan.
Royal sources have revealed the accusations were hurtful to King Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton.
However, King Charles, as a loving father, attempted to keep the peace by inviting the renegade royals to spend Christmas in England.
Prince Harry and Markle were quick to decline the invitation, claiming they would rather spend the holidays in the comfort of their California mansion.
The pair’s absence from the family gathering left room for other people to attend, and Camilla, Queen Consort, happily swooped in.
The new Queen Consort had her two children, Laura Lopes and Tom Parker Bowles, to Sandringham for the festivities for the first time.
A source close to Camilla, Queen Consort, told The Sun: “Camilla is keen her family are at the heart of Christmas, particularly as Charles won’t have his youngest son there.”
Camilla, Queen Consort’s grandchildren, were also invited to attend the fancy party, according to The Telegraph.
According to royal expert Ingrid Seward, who spoke to The Mirror, King Charles had a lavish event for the Royal Family.
The author claimed that King Charles had higher standards than his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, and therefore had a fancier and more elaborate event.
Seward spoke about His Majesty‘s “immaculate high standards” to The Mirror, saying: “King Charles was always a traditionalist. When he moved into Clarence House after his grandmother died, he kept the decor similar to hers but on a far more opulent scale.”
King Charles used Prince Harry’s absence to throw some new faces in the mix.
The royal author shared: “His goddaughter Lady Sarah Chatto will be there with her husband and children, as will her brother Lord Snowdon who has an increasingly influential role within Charles’ court. In the past, Fergie often stayed at Wood Farm on her own while Andrew and the girls lunched with the Queen and Prince Philip.”
King Charles and the entire Royal Family attended the service at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Norfolk. After the holiday church service, King Charles led the way for a walkabout to meet and greet crowds at Sandringham.
Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis took part in the traditional royal outing.
Many were surprised that Prince Andrew was authorized to join his brother King Charles and fellow members of the Royal Family after causing so much shame by getting embroiled in the Jeffrey Epstein sex scandal.
The King delivered his first Christmas speech, where he royally snubbed Markle and Prince Harry by not mentioning them.
Royal observers said that King Charles has all but confirmed that the royals have moved on from the power couple.
The moves from King Charles and Camilla, Queen Consort, might have Prince Harry and Markle sweating because sources claimed despite all the chaos they have caused, they were planning to use 2023 to reconcile with the royals, and now that does not look possible.
King Charles wants everything about him. He is like a spoiled brat. Camilla needs to keep her mouth shut as she is only Charles mistress. For the life of me I don’t know what he saw in that mistress. He had everything with Princess Diana and even two sons, but Camilla was always there. I think Prince Harry is going to have to put his foot down on his wife though. Between Camilla and Megean you have two women who will do or say to make the headlines. Less said the better the situation.
