For the second time, Tom Brady announced that he is retiring from the NFL. The father of three shared an emotional video explaining why it was time to end his extraordinary career as a quarterback.
He said in part: “Every single one of you … my family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors. I could go on forever. Thank you, guys for allowing me to live out my absolute dream. I wouldn’t change a thing.”
Around this same time last year, Brady made the identical decision, and a few weeks later, he stunned the world and his then-wife, Gisele Bündchen, by revealing that he had a change of heart.
Tom Brady returned to the sports he dearly loved and lost his marriage. The supermodel gave the father of her two children a brutal ultimatum — his family life or football, and he picked the latter.
Gisele Bündchen moved out of the marital home, rapidly hired a high-profile lawyer, and by the fall of 2022, the divorce was finalized.
For a brief period during and after the divorce, the former power couple threw barbs at each other on social media.
The businesswoman also took a few shots at her ex-husband in an extensive interview. The Brazilian mogul claimed that her former husband did not have his priorities straight.
As for Brady, he used anonymous sources to get back at his former wife. Friends of the athlete claimed that he never wanted the separation and blamed his former wife for destroying the family they had built.
However, this week, a source close to Gisele Bündchen revealed that the drama is finally over. The pair are on great terms, and she was his main adviser and confidant when he started seriously making retirement plans for the second time.
The person, familiar with the situation, revealed to Us Weekly: “Tom and Gisele are on cordial terms, and they talked this through before he came to the final decision. She has been a real rock throughout the process.”

The insider added: “He is so grateful to everyone in his life for the support they’ve shown.”
Since announcing his retirement from football, Tom Brady seems to be eyeing a new career as a model, and Megyn Kelly has made it clear she is not buying the underwear that he is selling.
Taking to Instagram, the NFL legend posed in his underwear while sitting on a bed to promote his apparel company, Brady. The former Fox News reporter was not impressed, and she made sure to let the world know.
Kelly said on her podcast: “Why did he [Tom Brady] post this on the internet? This looks like something you’d yell at your teenage son for sending around to his girlfriend.”
She added: “Why is he posting pictures of himself with his little tiny underwear? … I don’t know. But Tom Brady doesn’t need to promote underwear, and he’s worth hundreds of millions of dollars.”
Several NFL stars mocked Brady for the photo, with Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins saying: “Tom done retired and turned into AB 😂.”
His friend and former teammate Rob Gronkowski added: “I don’t think he did it right … his hand is not in the right place. He’s covering up a little bit. You’re not supposed to be covering up!”
Brady is ready for a new chapter with the backing of his ex.
