King Charles III is on the losing end of striking a deal with Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, to attend his fancy coronation ceremony.
On May 6, His Majesty will host the biggest party of the decade with his wife, Camilla, Queen Consort, by his side.
All members of the British royal family are expected to be present — including Prince Harry, Markle, and their young children — Archie and Lilbet.
King Charles has already sent the invitation to the California-based family, and as he awaits their response, there have been intense negotiations behind the scenes.
His Majesty will not admit it publicly, but he wants Prince Harry and his spouse present at the crowning ceremony.
King Charles and his aides in Buckingham Palace believe that Markle and her family would bring in ratings, captivate the viewers, and show the world that the Royal Family is inclusive.
Aware of this, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are using His Majesty’s strong desire to have the perfect blended family image to their advantage.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have decided to put their feet down over some of the rules and snubs that King Charles and other royals have planned during the coronation ceremony.
Royal sources claimed that Prince Harry and Markle are willing to travel to London for the event under certain conditions.
The renegade royals want to be well treated, get the respect they deserve, and be given the opportunity to take part in the iconic Royal Family portrait on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
An insider familiar with the situation spoke to OK! and revealed: “Discussions are ongoing about the Duke and Duchess’s involvement in the coronation, including the question of whether they and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will appear on the balcony. The question is a sticking point because, typically, non-working royals don’t appear. However, Harry and Meghan are keen that they too should be a part of that special family moment.”
Royal expert Angela Mollard claimed that King Charles would not bend nor fold to Prince Harry and Markle’s demands and added: “There is no chance they’re going to be on the balcony. The Queen wanted a slimmed-down monarchy. Charles is further enforcing that. He has dealt beautifully with Andrew, and they need to turn around and say there’s no chance they’ll get a place on that balcony.”
Another request made by Markle and Prince Harry is that King Charles acknowledge his grandson, Prince Archie, during the coronation ceremony.
The Sovereign picked Archie’s birthday as the date of his coronation.
The source said: “The Sussexes have asked for some kind of celebration or acknowledgment to be factored into the day’s plans to ensure that his fourth birthday won’t get lost during the momentous day.”
While arrangements are being made by King Charles for Prince Harry, Markle, and their children to attend the coronation, Prince William is said to be fighting tooth and nail to avoid them after the embarrassing revelations and wild accusations.
Harry has to learn that he left his family and country for a better life Charles has to say no to his demands and let him get on with it if Charles does give into harry on anything then he shouldn’t be getting crowned at all because he wouldn’t be worthy of the position of king of the greatest country in the world William has the right idea that is that he made his bed so now lay in it and stop telling this country what to do
