While going through one of the longest and most bitter divorces in Hollywood, Brad Pitt is taking steps to cut ties with his ex-wife permanently.
It has been confirmed that the actor sold the forever home that he shared with Jolie and their six children — Maddox, 21; Pax, 19; Zahara, 18; Shiloh, 16; Vivienne, 14; and Knox, 14.
This week, Brad Pitt sold his famous Los Feliz compound for $40 million. The Oscar winner purchased the massive mansion for $1.7 million in 1994.
A source confirmed the sale in a statement to ET that read: “Brad Pitt has sold his Los Feliz home for around the asking price of $40 million. The deal was done off-market.”
Pitt and Jolie had been together for over one decade when they announced the end of their romance in the fall of 2016.
The former couple has been fighting in court over assets and the custody of their children. Seven years after Jolie filed documents asking to terminate the marriage, the divorce has yet to be finalized as they continue to hammer out custody agreements for their minor children, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne.
The 59-year-old Oscar winner has decided to bid adieu to the Los Feliz, California compound for a new massive $40 million mansion in Carmel in Northern California.
The Fight Club actor is eliminating his shared history with Angelina Jolie as he enters a new stage with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon.
Sources confirmed to the Daily Mail that the relationship is getting serious. The insider revealed: “Brad has now introduced Ines to most of the six children he shares with ex-Angelina.”
The source also shared that Pitt and his lady love bonded over their complicated divorces.
According to the family, friend Ines de Ramon has been very supportive of Brad Pitt as he navigates the lengthy and painful divorce process with Angelina Jolie.
The person claimed: “Ines does the same for Brad, who is unfortunately still dealing with his messy divorce from Angie,’ the actor’s close friend shared. ‘They actually bonded over their divorces and are quite serious. Brad’s relationship with Angie was such a high-profile disaster, and it is quite the opposite with Ines. She is zero drama and very low-key.”
Ines de Ramon recently divorced Paul Wesley. The pal claimed that Pitt does not have a high opinion of Wesley and added: “Brad does not care what Paul thinks of him, nor what Paul thinks of him dating Ines. Even though Paul is out of the picture, Brad and Ines are going to continue keeping it on the DL.”
Pitt is trying to rebound after the PR nightmare following the divorce.
