Over the week, there was a pause on all the hoopla about King Charles III‘s coronation ceremony, thanks to a new book that zoomed into the dysfunctional relationship in the British royal family.
Author Robert Jobson unveiled his new book, Royal, where he shared some explosive details about Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Queen Elizabeth II.
The royal expert did a deep dive into the chaotic events hours before Prince Harry and Markle stepped down from their royal duties and left London for good.
According to multiple excerpts of the book that surfaced via The Daily Mail, it was confirmed that senior members of the Royal Family and officials were shocked and confused by Prince Harry’s decision.
Many saw it as the ultimate betrayal and assumed Prince Harry had turned his back on the monarchy. Those furious with Prince Harry’s bombshell decision held lengthy discussions to strip him of his title.
During the title debate, officials mocked Prince Harry by saying that his last name should now be attached to the new place he calls home — Montecito.
The bombshell book claimed: “Discussions about stripping Harry of his Duke of Sussex title were held at the highest level, and senior aides joked that he was a ‘hostage’ of his wife, Meghan.”
The author shared: “Some blame Meghan Markle for the fallout, ignoring the fact that Harry seems to be the driving force in everything that happened. There was a point when officials joked Harry was the victim of Stockholm syndrome and he was Meghan’s hostage, but now mostly just feel Harry has turned his back on everything he has known..and want to see him demoted to Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor of Montecito, California.”
However, King Charles made the surprising decision that despite the damage and pain caused by Prince Harry, he loved him too much to remove his dukedom.
Many are upset by King Charles’s decision because they deem that Prince Harry and Markle have gone too far with their revelations via Netflix and Spare and have demanded that their titles be removed.
A senior royal aide told the famous author: “King Charles is understood to not be in favor of axing Harry’s royal title and has ‘enduring love for his son.”
One senior aide, discussing the royal rift between Prince Harry and the Royal Family, told Jobson that he is hurt by the fact that he does not see or have meaningful relationships with his biracial grandchildren Archie and Lilibet.
Will Charles ever man up to what harry is I really hope that he man’s up and isn’t going to be like a wet weekend type of king but although I’m a royalist and always have been I really think that Charles will never get the “balls” it needs to be a good king for the sake of this country and the rest of the empire he should hand over to William and have a proper king and queen who believe in there country as well as the institution of marriage the same as our queen did along with Philip call me old fashioned but at the age of 73 maybe I can still remember what respect and duty stand for
