King Charles III and his wife, Queen Camilla, were unhappy with Kate Middleton‘s latest surprise and were quick to take action.
This week, the Queen-in-waiting in a bright pink dress made a surprise appearance at the Chelsea Flower Show.
Prince William was not present at the event. Kate Middleton took part in a picnic with a large group of schoolchildren.
Ensuring her inner Princess Diana shined through, Catherine, Princess of Wales, had lengthy chats and answered the children’s questions about the monarchy and the British government.
Middleton was accompanied by several photographers who documented the unexpected royal engagement. By all accounts, the event was a huge success, with Middleton grabbing headlines.
However, a significant problem emerged from the event. King Charles and Queen Camilla came to the flower show after Middleton, and the pair did not receive much coverage.
However, by the time the Queen and King arrived at the spectacular show, most reporters and photographers had left.
A royal insider spoke to the Daily Mail and revealed that His Majesty was unhappy with Middleton’s surprise appearance.
Further infuriating King Charles is the fact that he is the nature lover, the most environmentally friendly royal to ever live, and Middleton is taking that title away from him.
The King made it clear that he would not reign in Middleton’s show. The media outlet noted: “Royal insiders have expressed concerns that King Charles was overshadowed by the Princess of Wales during his first visit to the Chelsea Flower Show as monarch.”
The site reported: “However, some royal sources have expressed concern that the visit by Charles and Camilla was overshadowed by a surprise appearance by Catherine, Princess of Wales, to the same event on the same day. Kate was seen meeting youngsters from ten schools taking part in the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Campaign for School Gardening, where she encouraged participants to ‘work hard.’ But the amount of coverage given to the younger royal’s visit has sparked alarm in some circles that Charles may find himself eclipsed by his daughter-in-law, a claim mirroring that when he was married to his first wife, Princess Diana.”
A royal insider told the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden: “With his love of horticulture, His Majesty’s appearance at Chelsea was an important engagement. It’s a shame that his visit with Her Majesty the Queen received less coverage than might have been expected. I hope they are not too disappointed.”
About 24 hours after the flower show drama, King Charles and Queen Camilla were quick to put Middtelton in her place for her stunt. The royal husband and wife made a surprise appearance in Northern Ireland to open the Coronation Garden today.
Queen Camilla wore a green dress for the occasion. King Charles and Queen Camilla greeted and spoke to schoolchildren during the visit.
According to Express: “They also met the designers of the Garden and representatives of community and charitable organizations today and discovered how the Garden marks the beginning of a new green initiative for the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.”
The King and Queen are not ready to cede the spotlight.
It’s about time that Charles faced up to the fact that the british public want a younger out going royal times have changed but Charles is still living back in the seventies where most of the european royals where older and that’s what made his mother such a popular queen but she outlived Charles use now I’m afraid that it’s a younger king and queen that we need again to take us into the 21st century it may seem that I’m talking from the younger persons point of view but I’m only a year younger than Charles I feel sorry for him but his mother outlived his usefulness and I really hope that he doesn’t do the same to William and Kate I really think that at the end of this year he should think about handing over to William that would be best for the country that way William will be able to hand a strong royal family over to his son when the time becomes right Charles shouldn’t wait until he dies he should think of the country
