Arnold Schwarzenegger has decided to put his life on the little screen with his new documentary Arnold on Netflix.
Via the media, a Schwarzenegger source has opted to air out his children’s dirty laundry. The former California governor is a father to five children, and he shares four, Katherine, Christina, Patrick, Christopher, and Joseph, with ex-wife Maria Shriver.
He has a love child, Joseph Baena, with his former housekeeper, Mildred “Patty” Baena.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver were married in 1986 and divorced in 2011 due to infidelity.
Schwarzenegger confessed to Shriver that he had an affair with the family’s former housekeeper that produced a son.
The Hollywood icon had been secretly paying for all of his son’s needs and had purchased a home for his former mistress.
After the public and brutal divorce, the Terminator star has maintained a close relationship with all five of his children. However, his children with Shriver do not have any love for Joseph Baena.
According to a Schwarzenegger insider, who spoke to Page Six, Katherine, Christina, Patrick, Christopher, and Joseph, are not fans of their half-brother.
The source stated: “But, to be honest, the other kids don’t love Joe. It’s a shame as he’s a really good kid, and Arnold has always treated him like all his other kids — very fairly. But for whatever reason, the other kids take [the affair] out on Joe.”
In his much-talked-about Netflix documentary, the former professional bodybuilder opened up about the exact moment he announced to his then-spouse the affair that produced a child.
Lesley Chilcott, who directed the Netflix project, told Yahoo: “It’s difficult for him to talk about the affair because he cannot talk about it without someone’s feelings getting hurt. That was a pretty grave transgression. And he has to be careful because he has a human life out of it, a great 25-year-old kid [Joseph]. So there is only so much you can say.”
Schwarzenegger explained in the documentary that he confessed to a “crushed” Shriver about the cheating and lies and love child during a counseling session.
Schwarzenegger revealed: “Their therapist asked a very specific question in her direction. I thought my heart stopped. And then I told the truth.”
Lesley Chilcott went on to say: “[Arnold] tells us how sorry he is and that the reason he doesn’t talk about it is because it hurts everyone… Joseph’s family, Maria, all the kids, and he doesn’t enjoy that. He knew he had to [talk about the affair], but after we talked about it, there wasn’t much else we could do that day. He was emotionally spent, and I don’t believe he intends to talk about this subject anymore.”
The actor is making a real comeback with many top projects.
