Prince Harry and his spouse, Meghan Markle, were forced to eat a slice of humble pie in early July, which tasted quite bitter.
According to a new report, the power couple had planned a fun-filled party for their family members and close friends for the Fourth of July celebrations.
However, three days before the major event of the season, Prince Harry and his wife were hit with some surprisingly negative news.
The Montecito royals discovered that the multi-million-dollar deal with Spotify had been canceled.
It was reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle inked a juicy 20 million-dollar deal with the streaming giant. Markle was able to deliver one season of her podcast, Archetypes.
While the project was critically acclaimed, it seems that it was not enough to captivate the masses in the long run, and it was therefore canceled.
Prince Harry proposed a few ideas that were deemed too wacky to produce. King Charles III‘s son wanted to speak to Donald Trump, the Pope, and Vladimir Putin about their childhood traumas in what would have been a controversial yet fascinating series.
After the Spotify snub was made public, the Head of Podcast Innovation and Monetization at the streaming giant, Bill Simmons, revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were “fu*king grifters.”
Another big name in Hollywood said the pair had no talent. Following the confirmation of the cancellation of the deal and the painful comments, Prince Harry and Meghan felt humiliated and were upset.
The Montecito couple was forced to annul the fancy gathering. A source explained via Express: “They had a huge party planned at their home, which they canceled just three days out. Meghan was left with no choice but to cancel following the fallout.”
According to New Magazine, Markle was further embarrassed because she had already contacted the catering companies and party supplies for the event.
The person in the know stated that Prince Harry and his spouse had erected party gazebos and had to take them down.
The source added Meghan and Harry had: “Erected gazebos for the party, but they were taken down when Meghan instructed the planners to call it off”.
Humbled by the situation, photos surfaced online showing Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their young children, Archie and Lilibet, standing roadside enjoying a 4th of July parade.
While their Hollywood friends must have been disappointed by the cancellation, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seemed to have made the best of the situation by having a low-key affair.
