Prince William is minding his pocket and his bank accounts and is telling Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to handle their business because he will not help them in any way.
Reports emerged in the last few weeks claiming that contact had been made from Montecito to London. Prince Harry called his older brother to lament about his financial issues and marital woes.
The former British soldier revealed to Prince William that he was hoping to return to England amid his struggles. Markle was said to be vexed by the shocking conversation.
Prince William had a diplomatic answer to his brother’s desperate request: “He will think about it.”
William, Prince of Wales, has thought about it and decided that securing his and his children’s financial future is his top priority.
According to an article that was published in the Daily Mail, it was revealed that the heir to the throne who inherited the Duchy of Cornwall when King Charles III ascended the throne made a large sum of money.
Prince William will have to save some of that money for his children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis when they get older.
If Prince William accepts Prince Harry’s offer to return to London with Markle, Archie, and Lilibet, he would have to pay for their security, provide them with a home, and handle the school bill.
For these many reasons. Prince William has no interest in having the family of four in England.
Ephraim Hardcastle wrote in the Daily Mail: “William, as Prince of Wales in receipt of £24 million a year from the Duchy of Cornwall, enjoys a surplus which will diminish as he eventually bankrolls the households of his children. But it would quickly disappear should Harry and Meghan return to the gilded cage. William would have to fund their duties, housing costs, and schooling of Archie and Lilibet.”
The writer went on to say that just as King Charles barked at the idea of supporting Markle, Prince William feels the same way.
Hardcastle stated: “According to Harry, that prospect was all too much for King Charles. He claimed in Spare that his dad balked at the prospect of him marrying Meghan and warned he didn’t have ‘enough money’ to support them both. Might William equally shirk at welcoming Harry back into the royal fold?”
Indeed, in his memoir, Spare, Prince Harry revealed that King Charles made it clear there was not enough money to pay for his and Markle’s household.
