Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have been actively and anxiously searching for the next big deal or project that could save their careers.
This summer, the pair faced a major blow after Spotify decided to brutally cancel their contract. The cancellation of the podcast opened a floodgate of insults via top Hollywood big names and anonymous sources who declared the pair “lazy grifters.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might be down, but they are certainly not out. According to multiple sources, the Montecito royals are planning a major comeback that will stun Hollywood and irk the Royal Family, especially Prince William.
The latest reports that have surfaced claim that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided to produce a Netflix movie that is based on the book Meet Me At The Lake by Carley Fortune.
It is claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle paid almost 4 million dollars for the rights to the novel. The romance novel focuses on the lives of a couple in their thirties who are dealing with complex issues.
The woman is battling postnatal depression, while the man is struggling with the trauma of losing a parent in a car crash. It was quick to notice that the book mirrored the lives of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Markle has been honest about her postpartum depression and confessed to having suicidal thoughts while she was pregnant with Archie because of the hardship she encountered while she was a working member of the Royal Family.
As for Prince Harry, he lost his mother, Princess Diana, in a car crash when he was 12 years old. One expert explained that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might have landed on another gold mine with their decision to be moviemakers, but they are now causing major pain to Prince William.
Relationship expert Sally Baker, from Working On The Body, told the Mirror that the production could be “cathartic” for Prince Harry, but the book “is not Harry’s story and hopefully offers some distance for him from his reality of having lost his own beloved mother in similar circumstances.”
She went on to say that the project will bring painful memories to the surface and added that “creating an artistic response to tragedy is a way of transforming grief. However, depending on how closely he’s required to work on this project, it is also likely to stir up profoundly painful memories and emotions for Harry too.”
The expert claimed that Prince Harry will need “immense courage and vulnerability to revisit such deep grief. He has unresolved trauma and sadness.”
She went into more detail on how the movie could be painful and frustrating for Prince William.
She stated: “It may also temporarily strain relations with his brother Prince William, who is bound to think Harry is still mining their family narrative for his own sensational content. Prince William may feel the coincidences in this project confront publicly deep wounds from their childhood. Prince Harry has a chance here to bring attention to the long shadow cast by sudden tragic loss, and hopefully help others dealing with similar trauma.”
However, she also believes that Prince Harry’s decision to draw from his personal experience could help him “lend authenticity to storytelling.”
Could this be their big break in Hollywood?
