Californians are known to be polite yet direct, even when faced with personal questions. This week, Meghan Markle showed her California side after reports claimed that she and Prince Harry were having marriage issues because she was spotted without her wedding ring.
Over the summer, the Montecito royal was photographed twice, and her $150,000 engagement ring was absent. Prince Harry’s wife was first seen heading to the dentist wearing multiple layers of clothing, and while she wore other pieces of jewelry, she did not have her wedding ring on.
A few days later, a close friend of Markle shared a sweet message on Instagram to wish her a happy 42nd birthday, and again, her wedding ring was nowhere to be seen. There were many rumors about the vanishing ring.
Markle brutally shut all rumors down by having a close source tell Page Six that the sparkler is simply “being fixed.”
Another insider made it even clearer: “They’re not divorcing, they’re not moving – they have more confidence and they’re at peace. They are making friends in their community and they’re feeling more comfortable to explore.”
According to the person, Prince Harry, and Markle have finally found what they were searching for all along — normalcy.
The source confirmed: “With the (Netflix) documentary series and Harry’s book behind them, this is the end of that era. It was tough before the book and the documentary coming out when you anticipate the worst. But this is really the closest we’ve seen Harry and Meghan achieve some level of normalcy — ever.”
The ring has been grabbing headlines since the pair introduced it to the world during their engagement interview.
The Duke of Sussex told the BBC the following details about the fancy bling: “The ring is yellow gold, because that’s [her] favorite, and the main stone itself I sourced from Botswana, and the little diamonds on either side are from my mother’s jewelry collection to make sure that she’s with us on this — on this crazy journey together.”
Markle beamed about the rock and Prince Harry’s thoughtfulness during the delicate process of creating the perfect ring for her and their unique journey.
She said: “Everything about Harry’s thoughtfulness and the inclusion of [Princess Diana’s stones] and obviously not being able to meet his mom, it’s so important to me to know that she’s a part of this with us.”
Their supporters are happy to hear the missing ring is not a real problem.
