If the latest reports are accurate, there is a possibility that Tom Cruise is doing what many thought impossible: he has finally decided to reconnect with his youngest daughter, Suri Cruise, whom he shares with ex-wife Katie Holmes.
The action star, who has been claimed to be the face of The Church of Scientology, has been estranged from Suri since divorcing Katie Holmes in 2012.
The controversial church does not permit its members to have a relationship with a non-member or suppressive person. While Cruise is paying a massive amount in child support, he has cut off all contact with his daughter.
It is claimed that Tom Cruise will pay $400,000 a month until Suri Cruise turns 18. Sources believe that there is a major change taking place in Tom and Suri Cruise’s relationship.
It appears that Cruise is removing himself from the declining church to play a part in Suri Cruise’s life.
The teenager is already looking at colleges, and it is believed that Tom Cruise wants to be present for his daughter as she starts the almost-adulthood chapter of her life.
The Mirror recently revealed that Tom Cruise has been in London for more than three years, working on various projects and creating bonds with all members of the Royal Family.
What he has not done is visit the church’s headquarters; he has not been seen in public with any high-ranking members and has not spoken about the religion.
When Katie Holmes filed for divorce, it was claimed that she was determined to cut ties with the church.
Via MSN, it was revealed: “With Tom agreeing to give Katie full custody, it appears he also agreed to not have contact with Suri while she’s a minor, likely due to his and Katie’s conflict about Scientology.”
It went on to say: “But now with reports that Tom is leaving the Church, perhaps he’ll try rekindling a relationship with Suri, even though it’s been a decade since he last saw her.”
It is not known if there will be any changes for Tom Cruise’s two oldest children, Connor Cruise and Isabella Cruise if the actor does indeed drop the church.
Connor Cruise and Isabella Cruise, whose mother is Nicole Kidman, have been members of The Church of Scientology all their lives.
In a recent video, Isabella Cruise explained that she was promoted to auditor and revealed that the church was important to her.
She said: “It’s a few meltdowns and running to the bathroom to have a mini-episode, but it is worth everything because you will get through. This is a gift to yourself and so many others. It doesn’t matter if you aren’t going to be an auditor or aren’t going to join staff. If you are going to make it as a being for the long run you need this. That’s the truth… so stop messing around and get going.”
Mr. Cruise seems to be going through some changes.
