After a royal snub, King Charles III is now hinting that he might be interested or is at least thinking about having Prince Harry in London.
Prince Harry rushed to react, but it seemed that he read it all wrong, and King Charles was quick to tell him to curb his enthusiasm.
Buckingham Palace was happy this week to leak all of the humiliating predicaments that Prince Harry faced while in London for less than 24 hours.
The King‘s men and staff members leaked the news that Prince Harry can no longer contact or see his father when he feels like it.
Prince Harry must now make a formal request to have a conversation with his own father. The King’s senior aides revealed to The Times and The Telegraph that Prince Harry requested a room at Windsor for one night, which King Charles denied him.
Prince Harry was hoping to lodge on royal property because he had plans to visit Queen Elizabeth II‘s final resting place at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
His Majesty told his son that his request was on short notice, and there was not enough time to put the logistics in place to accommodate him.
Fairly quickly, chatter emerged claiming that King Charles was mulling over the idea of leasing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle an apartment at Kensington Palace.
King Charles was tempted by the idea because his counselor-of-state, Prince Harry, needs a physical address/home in London.
The Times explained: “According to well-placed royal sources, courtiers have discussed leasing a property on the royal estate to Harry and Meghan to try to resolve the counselor-of-state conundrum. One option understood to have been considered is accommodation at Kensington Palace, where the Prince and Princess of Wales have a home and their private office.”
A friend of King Charles told the media outlet: “The King can see that to remove Harry as a counselor of state would be seen as an act of antagonism, and he does not want to do that. If, as a consequence of that, somewhere on the royal estate needs to be earmarked as a pied-à-terre for his son, that seems a reasonable thing to do.”
Prince Harry was delighted by the idea of having a royal address. A friend of the Montecito royal told The Times that he would be able to do charity work if he had a London home.
Prince Harry’s pal also claimed that a pied-à-terre would be the softening of relations with King Charles, even if Meghan Markle has no interest in ever returning to London.
A friend of Prince Harry said they would like another home here and continued: “Not having anywhere isn’t overly helpful, there are friends and hotels, but I know they would like to have somewhere. Meghan has decided that coming back more is not what she wants to do, but Harry would like to. Having a base in his home country, despite everything that has happened, is appealing.”
The person familiar with the situation added: “There is work to be done here in terms of the charities, and there will be opportunities in the future where he’ll want to be here a bit more. If they could have kept Frogmore, they would have done it, it was the perfect set-up for them. When he last stayed there, he did a whole load of clearing out and he was sanguine about it but pretty sad. If Charles offered the Sussexes a home on the royal estate, it would be an ever-so-slightly softening of relations.”
King Charles told Prince Harry to curb his excitement because it was not happening. The Times put an end to Prince Harry’s joy of reconnecting with his dear papa by revealing: “The suggestion is hotly disputed by Buckingham Palace. A spokesman said: “These claims are not true.”
Some say that the Sussexes should priotize their success in America at the moment.
I just last night finished the book on Spare! As I shakek my head at the ‘royalty’ family…..Something needs to change….Not knowing if the stories we read are the papparazzi or media spin, we will never know! But I loved reading about Harry and Meghan but not about how he was treated by the rest of the family.
