The rumors are true after all: Bradley Cooper has stopped playing the third wheel in Tom Brady and Irina Shayk‘s romance and has taken a new direction with his love life.
Sources close to the Oscar winner have confirmed that he is dating supermodel Gigi Hadid. The chatter about Hadid and Cooper becoming New York’s It-couple started last week.
Sources hinted that there was the possibility of the model having had a major crush on Cooper for some time. It was later revealed that they were seeing each other on the low.
However, the romance became public after Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid were spotted during two romantic outings in New York.
Photos that were featured in the Daily Mail showed Cooper and Hadid leaving Via Carota in the West Village after a romantic rendezvous.
In the pictures, the lovebirds got into the same SUV. They were seen a few days later exiting another fancy eatery and taking the same car to their destination.
Very soon after the outings, an insider with ties to the mother of one spoke to PEOPLE Magazine to reveal that she embarked on a fresh romance with Cooper.
The person in the know claimed that she is having fun with Cooper, and there is no rush to put a label on the relationship.
The insider said: “They are having fun. She’s independent and busy, and her days are filled with responsibilities, so I don’t see anything serious happening right away, if at all.”
The source also spoke about the crush that led to the relationship, saying: “She has had sort of a crush on [Cooper] for a while and might be open to exploring more than friendship with the actor.”
According to the family friend, Hadid is eager to see where the relationship leads. The person confirmed that she is open to something serious and long-lasting.
The source claimed: “They have things in common, so it’s possible to see it progress. It appears super casual now, but they both have kids, big careers, and busy lives and understand what life is like in these circles. It’s cute, and there is an attraction.”
Another reason why this romance is advancing so well is because Hadid has an interest in acting. PEOPLE reported: “The source adds that Hadid — in addition to modeling, working on her fashion line, and raising her 3-year-old daughter, Khai — has an interest in doing some acting, which could be a point of connection for her and Cooper.”
A few weeks ago, Hadid was dating Leonardo DiCaprio.
