Gary Goldsmith, the brother of Kate Middleton’s mother, Carole (Goldsmith) Middleton, has decided it is time “to give the Middleton family a voice amid accusations and criticism pointed at the House of Windsor by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
Goldsmith, who was fined $6,000 for assaulting his wife in a drunken argument, wants to defend Prince William and Kate Middleton because they have no choice but to adhere to the “Never complain, never explain” motto created by the British family.
A source told OK! Goldsmith wants to “set the record straight” with his book, which will answer all the wild accusations and revelations made in Spare, the Harry & Meghan Netflix docuseries, and the countless interviews.
According to a source, this is why Goldsmith is aiming for the Montecito couple: “When Harry was originally compiling his book, his publisher was confident William wouldn’t comment because it wouldn’t be fitting for a future king to do so. Harry wouldn’t have anticipated such a comeback from Kate’s family. He added that the Sussexes won’t like it one bit.”
