The pair confirmed they were dating in December with a series of tweets and sweet Instagram photos. Gomez told her millions of followers: “He is my absolute everything in my heart. He is the best thing that ever happened to me, and he has treated me better than any human being on this planet.”
This week, the new couple took their romance outside for the world to see. Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco were pictured getting cozy as they sat front row at the L.A. Lakers versus Miami Heat game at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.
Gomez went for a black and white outfit and silver boots. As for the music producer, he opted for all-white attire and a floral jacket.
Benny Blanco completed the look with a pair of white Birkenstock clogs that he removed at some point. Social media users crucified him for removing his shoes.
Naysayers and critics have zero effect on Selena Gomez at the moment because she is said to be on cloud nine, floating in happiness.
A source told PEOPLE Magazine that the former child star is currently “super happy and present” in her life, and added: “She seems to be really feeling herself at the moment. Maybe that’s Benny, or maybe that’s just where she’s at personally and professionally.”
The insider went on to say that her fans are delighted for her. The source shared: “Everyone was a fan of hers before Only Murders [in the building], and now everyone is protective of her. With her cast and crew, the feeling is, ‘Any boyfriend of Selena’s is a boyfriend of ours.”
Close friends of Selena Gomez seem to approve of the romance and are very supportive. GQ shared several photos of Gomez and Blanco at the game on its Instagram page, and Taylor Swift‘s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, decided to react, confirming that the whole gang is happy for the musical pair.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end gave the post a like. While Gomez has yet to attend a football game with Swift, Gigi Hadid has confirmed that they “are all happy for their girl.”
