Many times in the past, Prince Harry and his wife, former actress Meghan Markle, have been slammed for sharing half-truths and full-blown lies.
Queen Elizabeth II and Kate Middleton have found a way to call the pair out in the most brutal way with the statement that said recollection may vary when it came to the many bombshell revelations that were made in the historical Oprah Winfrey interview.
Prince Harry and Markle love to tell the world that they are sharing their truths and their version of the story, but this week, they are getting a taste of their own medicine as one royal author exposes one of their biggest controversies.
When the runaway royals welcomed their second child, a baby girl, it was predicted that they would pick the name Diana for her late grandmother.
However, instead, they surprised the world with the name Lilibet. It was a tribute to her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.
Lilibet is the nickname given to the Queen by herself and her father. Her Majesty, who was not able to say the name properly, said Lilibet.
The Queen’s husband and her father affectionately called her Lilibet. Upon announcing the name, royal insiders stated Queen Elizabeth was shocked by the name and never authorized the couple to use it.
Prince Harry and Markle swore that they had the Queen’s permission to name their daughter after her. The duo threatened to sue the BBC for the claims.
A spokesperson for the pair said at the time: “The Duke spoke with his family in advance of the announcement – in fact, his grandmother was the first family member he called. During that conversation, he shared their hope of naming their daughter Lilibet in her honor. Had she not been supportive, they would not have used the name.”
This week, an excerpt from the new book Charles III: New King, New Court. The Inside Story, by The Daily Mail‘s writer, Robert Hardman revealed what truly happened behind the Palace walls when the Queen learned that her great-granddaughter was given her private nickname.
The book revealed: “One member of her staff says the monarch was ‘as angry as I’d ever seen her’ after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex publicly stated they would not have used her private family nickname if she had not been ‘supportive'”
Prince Harry and Markle tried to force the royals to back their erroneous claims that the Queen accepted the name.
The author shared: “But when the Sussexes attempted to ‘co-opt’ Buckingham Palace into ‘propping up’ their version of events, they were ‘rebuffed’.”
Prince Harry and Markle will have some explaining to do about warping reality.
What else did you expect from that pair it’s just anything to make money and get there faces and names in the paper They are just no good to anyone or anything the sooner the press stops printing things about them the sooner the public can forget about them
