King Charles III reinstalled a long and brutal tradition that was hurting and alienating Prince William.
It is a known fact that the reigning Monarch is never truly a fan of the heir to the throne. During Queen Elizabeth II‘s reign, the then-Prince Charles was never called upon for major roles.
The late Monarch only called upon the heir during her final days, when her illness made it almost impossible for her to stand and walk.
Many royal experts predicted that Queen Elizabeth would have asked King Charles to replace her when Britain voted for the new prime minister.
However, that did not happen — instead, a feeble yet brave Queen summoned Liz Truss in September 2022 to Scotland and appointed her prime minister days before she passed away because she was not able to travel to London for the meeting.
It seems that history is repeating itself in the most brutal and painful way for Prince William. At the moment, King Charles, who is battling cancer, has favored his wife, Queen Camilla, over Prince William to replace him at his upcoming events, and that decision is taking a heavy toll on the heir.
According to the schedules of Prince William and Queen Camilla, they have been avoiding each other — the pair was supposed to attend one event together — the memorial service for the late, who was a close friend of King Charles and the godfather of Prince William, King Constantine II of Greece.
However, Prince William bailed on the service at the last minute, citing personal reasons. Kensington Palace refused to elaborate on the matter.
According to royal expert and author, Prince William has repeatedly let King Charles know that he is ready to serve. However, King Charles has responded with a major slap; he has instead deputized Queen Camilla to take on his role.
Via The Daily Mail, royal expert Ephraim Hardcastle revealed: “Has William’s nose been put out of joint by King Charles’s reliance on Queen Camilla deputizing for him while he recovers from cancer? In addition to presenting the Royal Maundy, she will take center stage at the Commonwealth Day events on Monday. Provisional plans have been made for her to represent him at the Chelsea Flower Show, the D-Day 80th anniversary commemorations, Garter Day, Royal Ascot, and Trooping the Color. William has apparently indicated his willingness to help but hasn’t yet been called upon. The long tradition of monarchs being wary of their heirs continues.”
It has been confirmed that King Charles will go heavy with the insulting punches towards Prince William because Queen Camilla is set to make history by filling in for her ailing husband.
According to Express, on Maundy Thursday, which will be on March 28, Queen Camilla will reportedly become “the first consort of the Sovereign to hand out Royal Maundy gifts – a duty which King Charles would normally undertake.”
The media outlet revealed: “These gifts consist of ceremonial coins and are part of a tradition dating back centuries. As part of the Maundy Thursday tradition, Queen Camilla will present Maundy money – purses of coins – to 75 men and 75 women in recognition of their service to their community.”
The event will take place at Worcester Cathedral.
It was always rumered that the late queen didn’t think that Charles would make a good king and that’s why she never stepped down in his favour and I’m afraid that time is showing her to be right I think that it’s as much an insult to the british public as well as William to favour a non royal to do what a royal should do it was bad enough for him to have her crowned queen(which was against his mother’s wishes)I think that the british public have put up with her so far but putting her above William is going that step to far what with this and the way that he carries on with harry it makes you wonder if he wants William around I think that he’s very frightened of William because he and Kate are so popular with the british public that he feels that they want William and Kate as king and queen instead of him and Camilla
