Close friends of Queen Camilla are speaking up about her excruciating schedule since King Charles III was diagnosed with cancer, and Kate Middleton has been forced to dial it down due to abdominal surgery.
For the past few weeks, Queen Camilla, who was deputized by His Majesty, became the leader of the Royal Family and took part in 13 royal engagements. The workload has taken a toll on Queen Camilla, who has decided to flee England for some downtime.
A close pal told The Daily Beast: “She is shattered and exhausted by the turmoil of the past two months. She is 76 years old, and her husband has just been diagnosed with cancer. Anyone would find that a lot to deal with, without the media scrutiny that comes with her position as well.”
Another friend of the family told The Daily Beast: “Camilla has had to do everything in recent months, and it is no secret that it has been tiring. She has been under extraordinary pressure at a time in her life when most people are well into their retirement. You would never hear her moan about it because she knows it goes with the territory, but everyone is just very glad she is taking some time for herself, especially as this could go on for several more months.”
The pal also made this revelation about the new reality that The Queen is forced to deal with: “It wasn’t what she anticipated but, as anyone who knows her will tell you, she is not a complainer. She is proud to support her husband. We are all just very happy that she has actually gone ahead and taken this week off.”
With Queen Camilla out of commission, many were wondering if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would be called to help. Saying that the Royal Family has a shortage of manpower is the understatement of the year, and Prince Harry’s offer to return as a part-time royal seemed like a royal blessing.

It has been confirmed that Anne, Princess Royal will be the one to block Prince Harry’s comeback to action.
The Daily Mail shared: “While Camilla enjoys a well-deserved rest, William, the Princess Royal, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh are set to undertake engagements as normal.”
