It has been revealed that Prince William is in a different headspace with all that is going on in his life at the moment. Life came fast to the 42-year-old, who is the heir to the British kingdom.
He assumed he had many more years to wait to inherit the throne. However, once his father, King Charles III, announced that he was diagnosed with cancer, Prince William understood that he needed to be fully prepared for the monster job sooner than he had planned.
The father of three young children is also carrying another load: his wife, his rock, and his partner of 20-something years is ill. Kate Middleton has been diagnosed with cancer.
Princess Kate is undergoing treatment and will take as much time as she needs to recuperate.
And then there is all the drama, pain, and humiliation caused by Prince William’s younger brother, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle.
For the better half of Prince William’s life, he was told that Prince Harry would always be part of his support system. Well, they were wrong.
It has now been revealed that Prince William, in the midst of his own chaos, has let go of the incandescent rage that he often directs at his brother.
Prince William is no longer upset or angry at the former soldier. He is now grieving what he once had with Prince Harry.
According to a close friend of Prince William who spoke to The Daily Mail, he views Prince Harry’s departure from the family and his betrayal as a major sucker punch to the stomach.
Prince William, who has faced many personal losses in the past few months, has mentally categorized the end of his relationship with his brother as another sad death of a beloved relative.
Royal expert and commentator Becky English explained in her piece: “There has been grief, too—well, at least a form of it—at the devastating defection of Prince Harry, whose almost primeval need to snipe, strike, and rile his brother and sister-in-law, to whom he was once so close, has been one of the most devastating sucker punches of them all.”
She added: “Sure, William’s heart has been hardened, and his resolve has been reaffirmed when it comes to his sibling, particularly after his disloyalty to Catherine in his bile-fest of a memoir, Spare. But it is important not to underestimate, friends tell me, just how much of a form of bereavement it has been.”
Some royal observers note that Prince William’s non-existent anger towards Prince Harry might be the worst possible news for the brothers.
It implies that Prince William has completely pushed his brother’s existence from his life to focus on what truly matters to him: his sick father, wife, and the monarchy.
Royal sources close to Prince William have confirmed that he and his wife have completely moved on from the idea of ever reconciling and meeting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Via Page Six, insiders told The Telegraph: “That it’s unlikely the Waleses will reconcile with Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, should the pair come to London together. Sources close to the Prince and Princess claim that with both Middleton and King Charles battling cancer, their “Harry problem” is the last thing on their minds.”
Some observers still say a sincere apology from The Duke of Sussex could improve the situation.
