Power couple Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, have been together for more than 20 years.
The heir to the throne and the future Queen of England have raised three children, dealt with numerous scandals, accusations, and bombshell revelations, and are now facing one of their biggest challenges — Middleton is battling cancer.
In the midst of the roller coaster of life, it has been revealed that Princess Kate‘s mother and confidant, Carole Middleton, is the glue that has helped keep the marriage intact.
Carole Middleton, who adores her son-in-law, has become a second mother to him. The grandmother and former businesswoman has been the ear and shoulder that Prince William and Middleton needed as they fight against the wild reports that their marriage is on the rocks because of a cheating scandal.
Mrs. Middleton is very hands-on with her three royal grandchildren — she spends holidays with them and has been doing the school drop-off since Middleton was diagnosed with cancer.
According to GB News, Carole Middleton has been playing a pivotal role behind the scenes in the past years. More than ever, her presence is needed as her oldest daughter battles cancer.
The publication reported: “Carole Middleton has been a driving force for Princess Kate and Prince William amid the Princess of Wales’s cancer diagnosis, sources have claimed. Kate’s mother has been praised for playing a vital role behind the scenes for the Prince and Princess of Wales.”
A source close to the Middletons had this to say on the situation: “Carole has been the driving force keeping the family together with minimum fuss and maximum modesty. She’s ferried and fetched George, Louis, and Charlotte, taken them to school sports matches, and given them endless support. She’s been a real Mary Poppins-like figure.”
The 69-year-old mother of three has “provided the young family with the three R’s” according to the source that added: “She’s come to the rescue, provided reassurance, and has been a rock to Catherine and William as they come to terms with the news.”
Carole Middleton is a “real Mary Poppins-like figure,” to her grandchildren, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, according to the family friend.
Another source close to Carole Middleton spoke to The Independent and hinted that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not had a proper conversation with Kate Middleton since the cancer diagnosis.
The friend claimed Carole Middleton took a swipe at Prince Harry and his wife by dropping this little bombshell: “Her actions are in huge contrast to those mouthing support from afar.”
A return to monarchy is unlikely for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
