Prince William has decided to completely rearrange the monarchy to reach more people, be more present for his family, and make sure that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are never and ever part of the century-old institution.
According to sources from the Palace, when Prince William takes his father’s place on the throne, he will be breaking Queen Elizabeth II‘s old mantra that “the royals need to be seen to be believed”
Prince William has decided to prioritize his sick wife, Kate Middleton, and their three children. As monarch, Prince William will not be doing much in person.
A king of his time, he will jump straight into modernity by adapting to working from home, or WFH. This implies that Prince William and his wife will rarely be seen doing royal engagements, cutting ribbons, or visiting major sporting events. Moreover, do not expect many mega events at Buckingham Palace to promote charities.
Instead, Prince William will push for “digital WFH to maximize impact.” According to a close friend of the future King who talked to The Daily Beast, Prince William has already put the digital WFH arrangement in place so he can be present for Kate Middleton, who is battling cancer.
A friend of the couple told The Daily Beast: “In many ways, the next few weeks and months will be a template for his future reign because he will have similar personnel available after he succeeds to the throne, even if that doesn’t happen for many years. I think you’ll see him try to balance the demands of the state with the demands of being a good family man, taking care of his sick wife, and making sure his kids are doing OK. I’m sure that will mean doing more stuff online. He can ‘WFH’ and do hybrid working a bit. Frankly, it has more impact because it reaches many more people.”
The publication went on to share some details provided by Prince William’s advisors. The staff members are clear: Prince William will not tie himself to hundreds of engagements and charities, he will use technology to advance the monarchy.
The Daily Beast revealed: “One thing that seems certain when talking to friends and advisors of William both recently and over the past few years is that he has no intention of emulating his grandmother’s model of doing several hundred engagements a year. He is also a patron of hundreds and hundreds of charities. Instead, the goal will be to represent fewer causes but have more “impact,” to use a favored term.”
Sources revealed that Prince William will prioritize his family over “the demands of the state and charitable organizations.”
The insider shared: “Kate is doing well, but if a conflict arises, William will likely have little hesitation in canceling royal engagements to focus on family.”
Prince William’s modern-day working-from-home arrangement implies that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s services will not be needed by the Royal Family.
