As Kate Middleton battles cancer, her close family and friends are doing their best to protect and comfort her.
Princess Kate‘s husband, Prince William, has canceled multiple appearances to be by her side during this tough time.
It has been confirmed that Kate Middleton’s mother, Carole Middleton, has moved in with her at Adelaide Cottage to help with her three young grandchildren — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Carole Middleton has been tag teaming with her son-in-law, Prince William, on the children’s drop-off and pick-up from school.
The mother and grandmother has stayed quiet and has avoided making any public appearances during Kate Middleton’s health struggles.
Despite Carole Middleton’s best efforts to protect Princess Kate, she has, unwillingly, caused her some stress and a bit of humiliation.
It has been confirmed that Mrs. Middleton has landed in some financial troubles due to her failed business. Sources close to the businesswoman have revealed that she moved heaven and earth to keep the news from leaking, but alas, the financial scandal is all out in the open.
A sick Princess Kate has to hear all about it. Records obtained by The Times show that Carole Middleton and her husband, Michael Middleton, are in more than $300,000 debt after they sold their company in 2023.
The Times UK, via Page Six, shared: “Michael and Carole’s business, The Party Pieces Company, cannot come up with the “£260,000 (over $329,000) insolvency firm costs” they owe after falling into administration last June with over £2.5 million ($3.16 million) of debt.”
The publication of this private and embarrassing situation has left Mrs. Middleton scrambling to protect her cancer-stricken daughter.
According to one source, Carole Middleton would like to put an end to the rumor that Prince William or King Charles III had refused to step in and help her financially.
The person in the know made it clear that the Middleton couple is not waiting on her children, Catherine, Princess of Wales, Pippa Middleton, or James Middleton to give her a handout.
A royal insider told Us Weekly: “Carole is desperately trying to keep Catherine fully focused on her recovery. It’s a very worrying time for the family, but they are not looking for any assistance from their children and don’t want them to worry. Catherine and her parents are very close, and they always check in with each other, but talk about the business is off limits as she needs to focus on her health.”
Royal commentator Afua Hagan added: “Carole will be doing all she can right now to stop her daughter from stressing as she undergoes chemotherapy. It’s a stressful time at the moment, and she will be pulling out all the stops to shield her daughter from this. Party Pieces has collapsed, and it’s been devastating for the family, but Carole will be most concerned about Kate’s well-being right now.”
