Kate Middleton’s Children Now Have To Abide By New Rules For This Heartbreaking Reason

As Kate Middleton is battling cancer, she has been forced to step back from her duties as a working royal. However, the 43-year-old cannot hit pause in her role as a mother.

Prince William and Middleton share three young children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Princess Kate is still hands-on as much as she can be — she helps with homework, makes sure they sleep and eat right, and gives stern talks when mischief is made.

Her dedication to her children’s well-being remains unwavering, even in the face of her health battle. However, the children have been forced to live by some new rules because of their mother’s situation.

With Middleton needing more rest to aid her recovery, the three siblings have stepped up, taking on additional responsibilities around Adelaide Cottage.

Under the new rules, the trio is responsible for tidying their rooms and picking up after themselves after playing, eating, and doing homework.

The siblings have also been handling snack duties and are asked to keep their hands clean, especially around their mother, who has a weak immunity system during her fight with the disease.

A royal insider also shared that Prince Goerges is playing the part of the older and wise brother to the fullest and has been exemplary to his younger sister and brother.

The source told OK! Magazine: “They are following some new rules, like picking up after themselves and making their snacks, but also making sure to wash their hands more often because Kate can’t be exposed to germs while she’s undergoing chemo. George, who has always been wiser than his years, has been a real role model, especially to Charlotte. And she loves keeping Louis in line!”

In March, Middleton announced to the world that she was battling cancer and had the best medical team caring for her. Middleton confessed that she kept the heartbreaking diagnosis private for the sake of her children.

The protective mother said: “This, of course, comes as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this for our young family. It has taken time for me to recover from my surgery. Most importantly, it has taken us time to explain to George, Charlotte, and Louis and reassure them that I will be OK. As I’ve said to them, I am well.”

She went on to explain: “Having William by my side is a great source of comfort, as well as the love, support, and kindness that have been shown by so many of you. As a family, we need some time, space, and privacy while I complete my treatment.”

Prince William and Princess Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton, play key roles in the new arrangement.
