As the bitter divorce between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finally comes to a close, reports indicate some significant changes are coming their way — and like in all families, some people are unhappy about the moves.
This week, The Daily Mail confirmed that after nearly a decade of legal battles over custody and assets, the former couple has finally reached a point of “relief.”
The court saga is wrapping up because Brad Pitt has decided to no longer fight for shared custody of the children he shares with the philanthropist.
Pitt was cornered into taking that decision because almost all the children are over 18 (Shiloh will hit that milestone in a few weeks) except twins Knox and Vivienne, both 15.
Additionally, the older children — Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, and Zahara, 19, appear to have weaned their father from their lives.
Pitt either has a complex or no relationship with Pax. At a recent university event, Zahara confirmed that she had dropped Pitt from her name, and now she goes by Zahara Jolie.
As for Maddox, he cut ties with Pitt in 2016 after an incident on a private jet that led to Jolie filing for divorce. Shiloh Jolie Pitt has decided to rock the family boat as the court bickering winds down.
The teenager plans to move in with her father for some time. Contrary to what some might assume, Shiloh’s decision to live with her father is not a rejection of her mother, Angelina Jolie.
It is a testament to her growing independence and desire to spend quality time with her father as she enters adulthood. The person in the know stated: “[Angelina] knows Shiloh is a woman now and can make her own decisions. Shiloh isn’t unhappy at Angelina’s, but she’s turning 18 soon and wants to shake things up.”
According to the source, Angelina Jolie should be reassured that Brad Pitt’s million-dollar Los Feliz estate is within walking distance from her home. Therefore, “Shiloh can walk over at any time to see Angie and her brothers and sisters.”
A source previously told Life & Style that the father-daughter duo shares a tight bond and enjoys spending time together.
The family friend claimed: “The pair have a loving, fun, and authentic relationship and are cut from the same cloth.”
The insider added: “Brad never pressures Shiloh and encourages her to pursue her dreams. She feels comfortable talking to her dad about anything, and the duo enjoys playing music together, watching movies and art, and spending a lot of their time together in his art studio being creative.”
Some observers say that the divorce has been a problem for Pitt’s public image.
