According to a source who spoke to Us Weekly: “Kate‘s team is reevaluating what she will be able to take on when she comes back. She may never come back in the role that people saw her in before.”
The insider shared that her appearance on Buckingham Palace’s balcony for The King‘s birthday parade on June 15 is up in the air.
Additionally, reports that have surfaced in The Daily Beast stated that she would not make any public appearance this year.
However, Us Weekly explained that the only upside to the sad situation is that Prince William and his wife have reconnected, and their marriage is stronger than ever.
The Royal Family has been forced to cancel all their engagements and appearances because of the upcoming election. Prince William and Middleton are using those weeks to make memories and enjoy their little ones.
The media outlet reported: “The announcement that the royals won’t be able to work as much has been unexpected, but it will allow Kate and William to spend more time together. They’ve been reconnecting and are closer than ever.”
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams believes that Middleton will share a second video addressing the situation and explaining that she cannot return to work, which should become the new normal.
He stated: “I hope we will have heard when it is appropriate from Kensington Palace because lessons should’ve been learned from what happened earlier. If you’re not told at all, and months pass, there’s clearly speculation, and that could happen again. So I’m sure that it will be handled differently.”
