While in the hospital, Kate Middleton and her husband, Prince William, were hit with multiple rumors.

The future Queen of England was taken to a London clinic for abdominal surgery, and soon after, it was revealed that she was battling cancer.

Reports claimed at the time that she was in a coma and, therefore, did not want her children George, Charlotte, and Louis to see her.

The media made it an issue that none of the children were taken to the hospital to visit their mother.

Prince William was tagged as a bad father who made no effort to be present for his family.

However, according to a new report, Middleton decided to keep her children away to protect their innocence.

The concerned mother did not want her children to have memories of her in a robe, hooked up to machines and tubes.

Princess Kate did not want to traumatize George, Charlotte, and Louis during her health ordeal, so she tearfully requested that Prince William and her mother, Carole Middleton, establish a regular routine, including outings and playtime with friends.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, did not completely cut off from her children. She stayed in touch via Zoom and Facetime.

Katie Nicholl told Vanity Fair: “When Kate was in the hospital, she did not want her children to see her in a gown and hooked up to monitors and tubes, so only William visited, and she made do with video calls home every day. “Things were so normal at home that George was playing a rugby match against another school while Kate was hospitalized,” notes a friend.”

The author went on to say: “As she and her husband and their immediate families came to terms with the devastating news—no one beyond the Middletons and the king and queen were told about Kate’s cancer at first—they worked out how to tell their three children.”

The royal expert revealed that it was a very tough time for Prince William, who felt the weight of the shocking health crisis.

She wrote: “William is a human being like everyone else, and it’s been a really difficult time for him too. I think what’s important to him is that he’s there to support his wife and his children while continuing with his public duties.”

The Princess of Wales has many hats to juggle and her fans appreciate the fact that she is doing all of this with class and dignity.
