Meghan Markle is fully aware that no one is perfect and that sometimes mistakes are made and hurtful words are said.
The former actress has even tackled the topic of forgiveness during her memorable interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Markle revealed that she had said some things to Kate Middleton that were not well received and vice versa.
In the days leading to Markle’s big wedding to Prince Harry, under the pressure of the media and the drama surrounding her father, Thomas Markle, an incident occurred within the Palace walls.
Markle and Middleton clashed over the design of Princess Charlotte‘s dress for the wedding, a disagreement that escalated due to the mounting pressure and stress.
Princess Kate and Prince Harry‘s wife also butted heads on whether Princess Charlotte should wear tights or not.
Middleton was also experiencing a stressful period — she had recently given birth to her third child and had all eyes on her as she attended the event of the year.
Middleton quickly apologized and brought Markle flowers as a gesture of kindness. Markle claimed: “She [Kate] was upset about something, but she owned it, and she apologized. And she bought me flowers. A few days before the wedding, she was upset about something pertaining – yes, the issue was correct – about flower girl dresses, and it made me cry, and it really hurt my feelings.”
She added: “And I thought, in the context of everything else that was going on in those days leading to the wedding, that it didn’t make sense to not be just doing whatever everyone else was doing, which was trying to be supportive, knowing what was going on with my dad and whatnot. It wasn’t a confrontation, and I actually think it’s… I don’t think it’s fair to her to get into the details of that because she apologized.”
As a mother, Markle can now surely understand and feel what Middleton was going through that day. Markle certainly would feel upset if a comment was made about her daughter, Princess Lilibet.
She would be frustrated if everything was not in place for Lilibet during a major event. Markle, who seems to have empathy for everyone around her and is the first to reach out to any nation or community in crisis, appears to be bizarrely holding a grudge over Kate Middleton.
Many are wondering why Markle is unable to apologize to Middleton after publicly hurting her in her interviews, the Netflix series, and Spare.
Markle insulted Middleton by calling her cold and unfriendly. The mother of two also leaked private emails she shared with Middleton in Spare.
She invertedly dropped the bombshell that Middleton and King Charles III were the racist royals who made inappropriate comments about Prince Archie.
So, what is holding Markle back from making that first step? The absolutely ridiculous answer is her ego. Markle is letting her bruised ego get in the way of reconnecting with a cancer-stricken Middleton.
Her ego also makes it impossible for Prince Harry to reconcile with his family. She is also preventing her two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, from having a relationship with their British relatives.
