Prince Harry launched this significant sporting event to support wounded, injured, and sick servicemen and women. The opening ceremony is set to take place in February 2025 in BC Place Vancouver.
A royal insider told Express that the power couple will make it a family affair: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are making arrangements for their children to attend the opening ceremony at BC Place Vancouver, which will provide guests with a family-friendly start time of 1 pm on February 8.”
The royal insider went on to explain that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle believe Archie and Lilibet will be able to help promote a new ‘family-friendly’ Invictus Games.
The person in the know told the publication: “The Sussexes have been very involved with the organizational elements of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler events, and it was very much their idea to make this a family-friendly game so that those taking part can bring their children along.”
