According to a new book, Markle was taken aback by the great privilege and luxury that Catherine, Princess of Wales, and Prince William were basking in.
According to royal author and biographer Rob Jobson, Meghan Markle dreamed of grandeur when she entered the Royal Family. Her eyes were set on fancy castles, priceless tiaras, and exotic trips.
She was rapidly told to curb her enthusiasm and was offered the cozy but modest Nottingham Cottage, which has two bedrooms and just one bathroom. This is where Prince Harry lived at the time.
Discontent and frustration consumed the former actress even more after she was invited to Prince William and Princess Kate’s grandiose multi-million dollar apartment.
As the future King and Queen of England and senior working royals, Prince William and Princess Kate had “been living in the spacious 20-room Apartment 1A – their London home since marrying in 2011.”
After visiting the stunning home, Meghan Markle believed Prince Harry “deserved more materially.” Writing in his new biography about Kate Middleton, Jobson explained that Markle was invited to socialize with The Princess of Wales and her husband in their massive home, and she was stunned by what she saw.
He wrote: “It is understood that when Meghan and Harry went to have drinks at William and Catherine‘s apartment while they were still living at Nottingham Cottage opposite, Meghan was ‘taken aback’ at the disparity between the brothers.”
A source close to the royal clan said that Markle was unhappy to see firsthand the disparity between the heir and the spare.
The person in the know revealed: “I am not saying Meghan was jealous, but she was really surprised how lavishly Harry’s brother was living compared to where they were living.”
Markle has stepped down from her royal duties and is working on creating an empire that will give her access to the same kind of privileges.
Prince Kate is determined to continue her work as a representative of the old institution despite her health issues. Fans hope that she return to her engagements next year.
Middleton has made some moves recently indicating that she looks forward to getting back in the game.
