Jennifer Lopez might not be Ben Affleck‘s biggest problem in their divorce conundrum.
In the past few days, the Batman star has hinted that he is a new and happier man since he decided marriage was not for him.
Affleck debuted a startling new hairstyle; he has been seen smiling from ear to ear while dressed like a biker. The father of three has also been busy working on multiple projects with best friend Matt Damon.
A source close to Affleck claimed he had found himself since shaking off Lopez. PEOPLE reports via The New York Post: “While this hasn’t been the easiest summer for Ben Affleck, he is trying to stay focused and keep busy with work. He thrives when he’s busy, and he’s been working nonstop. Affleck is trying to “make every day as good as possible.”
Affleck, who spent most of the summer on the East Coast, has returned to California. Last week, Lopez met her estranged spouse in his newly purchased home for over five hours.
It is believed that they were going over the details of their imminent divorce, but getting rid of Lopez will not be that simple.
This is not like 20 years ago when Affleck picked up his belongings and, in fluent Spanish, told Lopez “adios.”
This time, there are new players in this failed love story, and one is determined to put the fractured marriage back together.
While Affleck plans to throw himself a party for his second divorce, his oldest daughter, Violet, is determined to call the shots.
Violet, who is no pushover — she stood in front of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Meeting and explained to local officials why masks need to be available for vulnerable groups — is now humiliating her father on a public level.
The teenager lets the world know where she stands on this breakup by wearing Lopez’s dress. According to PEOPLE, the 18-year-old daughter of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner was seen wearing a pink and white dress by Dolce & Gabbana.
The stunning and playful chiffon gown belongs to Lopez. She wore the lovely creation during a 2023 Valentine’s Day date night with Affleck.
A source, who spoke to The Daily Mail, revealed that Violet is determined to maintain her relationship with her stepmother.
The source claimed: “Violet does wish her dad, Ben, would stay with JLo. She wasn’t living in their house and did not see the extent of the breakdown, but she got extremely close to JLo over the past couple of years, and it broke her heart when they split. She is not going to stop talking to JLo, but she recently enjoyed time in the Hamptons with her.”
The person said Violet was making a bold statement with JLo’s dress and added: “Wearing her soon-to-be former stepmom’s Valentine’s Day dress was a statement – she knew what she was doing. Those close to her thought it was bizarre. This current hiccup is sad, and despite it looking like things won’t heal, Violet is championing their getting back together. Wearing JLo’s dress was done on purpose. However, Affleck is not reacting.”
The family friend claimed: “Ben is neither bothered nor unbothered by Violet’s closeness with JLo, as Violet is an adult and can have relationships with anyone she chooses. Unfortunately for her, wearing JLo’s dress in public is not going to affect Ben’s divorce at all.”
The source concluded that it is a complicated situation for the Oscar winner and added: “Violet is a Daddy’s girl and a family first person and is best friends with JLo’s kids. She considers them her sister and brother. Ben has been so amazing to Max and Emmie and is a wonderful father and father figure, so of course, they would all love for their parents to find a way to be together.”
Some observers say that Violet might not get his way.
