Although Luana Alonso, the now famous Paraguayan swimmer, could not win a medal at the Paris Olympics, she has conquered the media in the most controversial way.

The athlete first captivated the world’s attention with her impressive physique and dramatic actions. Luana Alonso failed to qualify for the women’s 100-meter butterfly final.

Immediately after, she surprised many by announcing that she was retiring from swimming at the age of 20. From there on, Luana Alonso kept the drama going and going.

The athlete is also a famous influencer with almost one million followers on Instagram.

Luana Alonso flooded her pages with steamy photos where she showed off her impressive tattoo of the Olympic rings on her thigh. She, of course, modeled stunning bathing suits and wetsuits.

When her fans and critics assumed the controversies surrounding Luana Alonso were over, she brought on more heat.

In a statement, the committee announced that Luana Alonso was kicked out of the Paris Olympic Village.

The officials explained that Luana Alonso behaved badly around the other teammates from Paraguay. She was caught wearing skimpy outfits and being a distraction to the athletes.

Alonso also broke the rules by leaving the village to have fun at Disneyland Paris. Larissa Schaerer, head of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, said: “Her presence is creating an inappropriate atmosphere within Team Paraguay. We thank her for proceeding as instructed, as it was of her own free will that she did not spend the night in the Athletes’ Village.”

Luana Alonso has made it clear that she will not be silenced, so she appeared in an unfiltered and uncensored video to put her country on blast.

She said: “They threatened me that they are going to publish a statement that I was going to leave because of universality; if I support my sport, it is thanks to my sponsors; they want to humiliate me and say ‘it is not a big deal that you are leaving because of universality’ and like no Paraguayan woman has ever made a mark for the Olympic Games, and to tell me that and on top of that I am one second away is nothing.”

She also unexpectedly announced that she wanted to swim for the United States instead of Paraguay, citing the fact that she attended college in the US.

She said: “I want to represent the United States more. It’s not a pleasure to represent Paraguay, but if it were up to me, I would return to college.”

COP President Camilo Perez delivered a brutal reality check to Alonso, saying she is not good enough of a swimmer to qualify for the Olympics as a member of Team USA.

Perez stated: “I read that she wants to compete for the United States. There is no universality there. She came here as a Paraguayan. She has to train a lot more to represent USA, her times have to be much better.”

She seems to like a good challenge.
