Kate Middleton has always seemed like a strong woman, but she is more resilient than anyone could have imagined.
It has been almost seven months since Princess Kate blew the lid open on her health issues.
Catherine, Princess of Wales, in a heartbreaking video, announced to the world that she was battling an unnamed form of cancer.
The news was revealed just weeks after Kate Middleton was hospitalized for planned surgery.
The statement from the Palace and Middleton indicated that doctors discovered the disease thanks to or because of a more thorough check-up before her operation.
However, it is now claimed that Middleton had been terribly ill months before her cancer diagnosis. Royal sources told The Daily Mail that Kate Middleton suffered in silence for much of 2023.
The royal insider told the media outlet that Middtelon was unwell but hid her pain and agony from her surroundings and the British people.
The media outlet reported: “What most will not appreciate is that Catherine had actually been unwell for some time in the run-up to her initial abdominal surgery in January (further details of which have not been made public yet by Kensington Palace). It was only after that “planned” operation, of course, which left her in hospital for two weeks, that her cancer was discovered.”
It was revealed that Middtelon was secretly battling the illness because she wanted to power through and continue with her work as a mother and representative of the monarchy.
The royal source told the publication: “As always, she hid her suffering well, but those who know her are keen to emphasize just what a tough time it has been.”
The insider went on to share: “I don’t think people realize how much she has gone through behind the scenes and for how long, far longer than anyone actually appreciates. She’s an incredibly strong woman, but she really has been through the wars. Her treatment and recovery is still a priority and will be ongoing for some time to come.”
Days after the health report surfaced, Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, delivered speeches in Colombia during their modern royal tour.
Prince Harry mainly focused on children, education, and bullying, but Markle made some remarks about women who empower and suffer in silence and the need for them to always have a voice.
The former actress looked at the camera and said: “It doesn’t feel great to suffer in silence or even just sit in silence if in those moments you want to be heard or if you have something to say.”
She also pleads with the world and even the monarchy to hear women when they speak about their ordeals or mental issues — something she said they failed to do for her.
