Kate Middleton has made a personal and public effort to dispel some mean-spirited rumors that have surfaced.
Multiple reports have leaked online stating that Middleton has a poor work ethic and has refused to participate in a foreign royal tour with her husband, Prince William, for two reasons.
The Princess of Wales prefers to remain in the UK because of her recent health issues and because she always wants to be present for her children, Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte.
After battling cancer and undergoing chemotherapy, Kate Middleton has decided to embrace a slower pace of life and wants to be close to her medical team.
Middleton is also determined to be a hands-on parent who drives her children to school and picks them up.
For these reasons, the Princess of Wales often remains in the UK while her husband, Prince William, travels to places like New York and Asia.
This week, the Prince of Wales will visit the Baltic state bordering Russia alone, without Kate Middleton.
Talking to Corporal Adam Hamilton, an Australian reservist, Kate Middleton responded directly and honestly to the damaging reports.
Middleton unveiled plans for some big adventure in the future during a royal engagement with the Irish Guardsmen and their families in the Sergeants’ Mess at Wellington Barracks.
She went public with her big plans, including official visits, family-focused activities, and personal adventures.
Princess Kate stated that she is eager to travel to the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand with Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte.
She stated: “George finds it fascinating that he has been to Australia and New Zealand. I would like to go back there with them now. It’s finding time to do that. But I love to travel – yes, it’s a long flight. But I love the Middle East because that’s familiar to me [from] growing up. There are so many opportunities now to travel, I think it’s brilliant to experience it. We tend to go further afield when it’s official visits; it’s being able to carve out time to experience these countries in a more private capacity. Because otherwise you end up seeing lots of insides of amazing buildings but you don’t get to meet that many people. It’s making sure that you can combine a bit of work with the children. I might see you down there!”
The princess was also asked where her family lived, and she responded: “We are in Windsor at the moment. We were in London but moved there for more green space. It’s close enough to London, not too far away.”
Kate Middleton also gave an unexpected opinion about her husband’s much-talked-about beard. She revealed: “These trends come and go. I was telling my husband, “I’m not sure how long he’s going to keep his for.”
It is a new era for the future King and Queen of England. Prince William will be pleased to know that he will get some help with his grueling schedule.
