King Charles III wants his youngest son, Prince Harry, to know that sometimes when a door of opportunity closes, a window will certainly not open.
This week, Prince Harry flew to London for yet another appearance at the High Court in London. The Duke of Sussex, the former soldier, is currently in the UK for a significant reason.
He is engaged in a legal battle against the Home Office, the ministry responsible for policing and national security. He aims to overturn their decision to downgrade his security after he and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down from their royal duties.
While in his native country, Prince Harry was determined to see his father, especially after his sudden hospitalization as he battles cancer.
However, King Charles made it unequivocally clear that he is upholding his sanctions on Prince Harry — he wants no contact with his son.
This stance has only deepened their emotional rift, leaving Prince Harry in emotional turmoil. King Charles is deeply concerned about the media’s reporting on the Royal Family’s private affairs.
He fears that any meeting with Prince Harry, no matter how brief, will be leaked or sold to the press or Netflix series. This concern underscores the immense pressure he is under due to the numerous leaks about the Royal Family’s secrets.
For these reasons, King Charles has cut off all communications with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Sources explained to News Nation that Prince Harry hoped to meet with his father, but King Charles declined.
Prince Harry was blindsided and hurt by the move. One insider went on to provide more details about the missed opportunities for reconciliation by saying: “There was a window where King Charles and Harry could have met, but they didn’t.”
The source stated that King Charles decided not to see Prince Harry because he was furious at his desperate act of dragging his government to court and wasting taxpayers’ money.
The insider stated: “(King Charles) is very upset over Harry’s insistence on fighting the government for police protection. He feels Harry knew what he signed up for when he and Meghan left the monarchy, but Harry, being Harry, just can’t accept it.”
King Charles is also baffled by the move because Prince Harry is authorized to receive proper security if he gives 30 days’ notice when he travels to the UK.
The person stated: “Harry can still get protection. He has to give a month’s notice. It grates on Charles because Harry thinks (Charles) can snap his fingers and get him the security — but he can’t. It’s up to the royal and VIP executive committee (RAVEC) which made up their mind. It looks bad for the family for Harry to challenge this. Not to mention, he has his own private security. Harry would have liked to see his father.”
The father and son are not ready to move forward.
