King Charles III is a changed man after the longest and most grueling 15 months of his life. The Monarch waited more than 70 years to become the King of England.

However, a few months into his reign — he was struck with unspeakable tragedy. At the age of 75, King Charles was diagnosed with cancer; he has since been undergoing chemotherapy and learning to live with the illness.

His perspective on life has dramatically shifted since his cancer diagnosis, and he now recognizes what is truly important. This profound change in perspective is a testament to his personal growth and the impact of his health issues on his life.

The change in attitude and mental state has pushed King Charles to have a profound heart-to-heart with his oldest son, Prince William, and daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton.

Through Yahoo, it has been revealed that His Majesty made an unexpected confession, expressing his profound regret and making a significant request to Prince William.

According to a royal insider, King Charles considered it a mistake to be a workaholic like his predecessors. His Majesty made a confession weighing heavily on his heart, a burden he felt compelled to share.

He stated that he should prioritize his family and be a more present father to his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.

King Charles pleaded with Prince William, stressing the importance of his request, to play an active part in his three children’s lives.

He also asked Prince William to be the husband Kate Middleton needs and wants, especially after her cancer diagnosis.

Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, explained via Marie Claire: “Charles said to William, ‘Please don’t make the mistake that I made’ and ‘I want you to enjoy your family life. Charles was very insistent about this because he said: ‘I was so dedicated to duty, I couldn’t make way for family life in the way that I should’ve done’ and that’s what William did.”

In his book Spare, Prince Harry wrote about King Charles being less than a stellar father to him and Prince William. He highlighted the challenges they faced due to King Charles’s workaholic nature, which often created barriers between them and their father.

Prince Harry explained: “He’d been an older dad, and I’d always felt that this created problems, placed barriers between us. He wasn’t the kind of father who played endless rounds of tag or tossed a ball until long after dark.”

In a recent speech where he spoke about his battle with cancer, King Charles confirmed that he views life differently and urged others to also embrace the moments, have no regrets, and create personal experiences with their loved ones.

He urged people to “find a life worth enjoying; take risks; love deeply; have no regrets; and always, always have rebellious hope.”

Prince William deeply appreciates his father’s gestures and words. Both men are united in their belief that family unity is important and essential, especially after the complicated year that Kate Middleton went through.
