Prince William and his estranged brother, Prince Harry, appear to have united in response to a major scandal involving their family. Despite ongoing tensions, both brothers have reacted strongly, though each plans to handle the fallout in their own way.
A new book has been published about Prince Andrew, a controversial royal figure. Once favored by Queen Elizabeth II, Andrew is now notorious due to his connections with Jeffrey Epstein.
Prince Andrew brought irreparable shame to the monarchy after he was accused of a sexual relationship with Virginia Giuffre when she was a teenager. Giuffre settled with Prince Andrew and reportedly received a massive check from Queen Elizabeth. Tragically, she died by suicide this summer.
The new book claims that Prince Andrew had harsh words for Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle when they first entered the Royal Family. It also alleges that Prince Andrew had a physical fight with Prince Harry over his despicable behavior.
Andrew Lownie wrote: “According to a source close to both men, Harry told him he was a coward not to say it to his face. Harry got the better of Andrew by all accounts, leaving him with a bloody nose before the fight was broken up.”
He then added: “He openly accused Meghan of being an opportunist and thought she was too old for Harry, adding that his nephew was making the biggest mistake ever. The source said: ‘Harry later told William he hated Andrew.'”
However, after the story was published by the Daily Mail, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s lawyers shared a statement denying the claim. The statement read: “I can confirm Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical fight, nor did Prince Andrew ever make the comments he is alleged to have made about the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry.”
The writer of the book also revealed that Andrew was cruel toward Princess Kate and made other harsh comments that were not revealed. Meanwhile, Prince William has been more reserved in his approach.
He will deliver his wrath upon his uncle, promising to remove his title, ban him from his coronation and other royal events, and boot him out of Royal Lodge.
According to The Telegraph: “With William it will be a different approach – he has hard-nosed ideas about how the Royal family needs to appear in the frenzied social media world we now inhabit, and I think will be ruthless. Prince William, those around him attest, understands the reputational threat his uncle poses to the monarchy in a new generation and will not shy away from taking action if it needs to fall to him.”
