Initial Concern For Andrew’s Well-being
It is claimed via The Daily Mail that Princess Anne was somewhat distressed to watch the spectacular downfall of her disgraced brother, Andrew.
King Charles III‘s sister is, of course, appalled by Andrew’s association with Jeffrey Epstein and has grasped the scope of the allegations leveled by the late Virginia Giuffre.
Insiders said that initially, as an older sister, she was hurting for her younger brother and was concerned about his mental well-being.
Royal reporter Richard Kay told The Daily Mail: “I think, if anything, they’ve been concerned about their brother’s well-being, how he’s handling this intense pressure. You can’t forget there is a human being at the centre of this.”
Frustration Over Pricey Demands
Following recent events, Anne‘s attitude toward Andrew has shifted in response to his demands of King Charles and Prince William, which she views as privileged and inappropriate.
The Daily Beast confirmed that Andrew will be receiving millions for the Royal Lodge. Andrew had previously demanded two homes after his eviction — he wanted one mansion for himself and another for his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.
Anne also expresses frustration at reports of Andrew misusing his royal titles and privileges, as well as his remarks about the British public during the eviction process.
Siding With The King
All the events above prompted Princess Anne to reconsider her personal support for her brother. At this point, Anne has withdrawn her personal support for Andrew and now fully stands with King Charles.
Royal author Christopher Andersen told US Weekly: “Anne has long sided with The King. She is as fed up with Andrew as Charles and William are.”
The report indicated that Princess Anne put family and emotions aside for the good of the monarchy and put pressure on Andrew to relinquish his titles.
