The death of Davina Sheffield, the woman once described as a “soulmate” of the young Prince Charles and even viewed by royal watchers as a potential future Queen, has reopened one of the most intriguing “what if” chapters of King Charles III’s early romantic life.

Sheffield died on September 2 at the age of 75 following a short illness. The devastating news was confirmed by her three sons. A celebration of her life is reportedly planned for November.
